Policemen arrive on November 1, 2009 at the Ramon Carrillo hospital in Haedo, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, where Argentine ex-footballer Fernando Caceres remains hospitalized after being shot in the face by thieves who tried to steel his car. The ex footballer underwent surgery after being shot in the right eye and is in very serious condition. Argentina's national coach Diego Maradona said early on November 2, 2009 that Caceres' life was in God's hands. "El Negro Caceres", played for Argentina's national squad as well as local teams Argentinos Juniors, River Plate, Boca and Independiente, and Spain's Real Zaragoza, Valencia and Celta de Vigo.
