Per la sua prima apparizione nel campionato del mondo, il Rally d'Irlanda accoglierà 90 equipaggi.
Tra di loro ritroveremo le tre scuderie del campionato Costruttori 1 (Ford WRT, Citroen Sport e Subaru WRT) e le due del campionato Costruttori 2 (Stobart VK M-Sport Ford WRT e OMV Kronos Citroen.
La prova irlandese accoglierà anche i concorrenti del PWRC, il mondiale Produzione, per il penultimo appuntamento stagionale di questa categoria.
Ci saranno al via ben 36 WRC.
